Gatherers For Christ

The Gatherers For Christ is a fictional series based on the End Times. The main characters find themselves left behind after the rapture and they must face the Tribulation. I have been writing this series since 2006.

Good morning!

Good morning.

There is a lot of activity going on around here this morning. Lot of preparations. My thoughts are all over the place, too, but I'm trying to keep them stable. That old ADD kicks in, and I'm really going to be all over the place.

We have family coming up tonight - or earlier today. The women-folk are making plans and preparations for them while I'm getting ready to go off to that four-letter word..."work". Doogs is working today, too. Tammers and the Misses will be taking Little Danny to day-care. The girls are going off to school, counting the days for when their actual summer vacation begins.

By the way, I am speaking of my family in code because as they have told me, "Don't put my name in your blog! Don't you do it!" So they are all in code. I know who I am talking about and people who know me know who I am talking about. I guess you are going to have to read on and guess.

My brother John is the only obvious one I write about. He has been waiting for a kidney a lot longer than I have been waiting to give one. He has a lot of patience. He has been through a lot and yet his spirit is unshakeable. He is a cool brother. Two weeks ago, we were once again placed on a 45 day list in some computer system that is supposed to spit out matches for him and for me, and then there is the blood tests...again. And, well, I guess we'll just have to wait and see. At least God knows what He is doing. I don't know about all of those Transplant Coordinators and doctors. I'm just trusting in Him.

Now, I have this crazy blog of the chronicles of my life - which as an update, there isn't anything significant to add. I have the End Times - which there is a lot to add to, but it is only a matter of finding the time to do it. I have the Gatherers For Christ - and the same applies there...a lot to add, but not the time. With this weekend in mind, I may not be able to post until sometime next week. That is a loong time to be without posting. But still, you never know.

So with that said, enjoy the video below, and have a great day.

The Gatherers For Christ

My name is Michael, and I love to write.  Only a few years ago, did I truly begin to use my talent for God instead of using it for my own glory.  I try to give God all of the glory in the writing.  This is what this series is about...

Year 1 of the Tribulation period has begun.  Millions have vanished across the globe in the biblical event known as the Rapture of the Church.  Terrorists have launched a series of attacks in America.  Tristian Salvadori rises on the scene, offering peace to a hurting world, but the peace he offers is only a facade as those left behind struggle to find the truth.
A small band of people gather together, and they become the Gatherers.  As christians, they have become the target of the Antichrist's diabolical plan to rule the world.  The end is drawing near.  The Second Coming of Jesus is just around the corner.  As the first year begins, will the Gatherers be victorious, or fall under the opposition of the enemy?

Other things about me, I have been a Christian since 1981.  My brother, John, was in the Air Force at the time, and he was lead to the Lord while in the service.  He eventually witnessed to me and lead me down the Romans Road and he also used the tokens of a Risk Board Game to illustrated the sin in our lives, the blood of Christ which can wash away the sin and make you white as snow.

Since then, my brother has had two liver transplants, cancer...and now three years after being in remission of cancer, he needs a kidney.  I tried to give him mine, but my blood and his are not compatible.  We are therefore both on a list - me as a donor and John as a recipient.  The program is to get him a kidney but I need to give mine to someone who needs it and is compatible.  So only time will tell...and the Lord knows when and if this will happen.

So, that is what this blog is all about.  I will post once or maybe twice a week.  I do like the setup here.  With Blogger, you have to make separate blogs for each thing you blog, but it looks like here, they can all be on the same blog, but in different categories.  Nice.  I don't know about posting pictures here yet, but I'll try to do that, too.  I have some of me and my brother, and other pics of people who I see as characters in my series.  If you like the series, enjoy.  Until then, PTL and PTA.

Your brother in Christ, Michael
